Aren’t I Original?
- I know it sounds pretty lame to say “Oh I never write in this thing…but I’m going to start!”, so I won’t even say it. The summer has been busier than expected so far, much to my enjoyment.
- Went out with some friends from work last night up around collegetown, it was a good time and hopefully some good lasting friendships will result from it. We ended up at the State Street Diner towards the end of the night, a favorite place of mine, and I got my usual, “homebrowns” with syrup layered on (hooray diabetes).
- I’ve been frantically looking for apartments lately. I finally found one that was perfect, but someone offered the lady more money than she asked for and wanted to sign a 2 year lease, so that’s not looking too hot…lets keep our fingers crossed though.
- Been talking to a friend of mine about where we want to go this winter for a trip. He wants to do Ireland/London, I dont really care where we go, though I’ve already been to Ireland and would like to see the rest of the world (Scotland for starters?). We’ll have to see. Either way it should be a great time!
- Grassroots is coming up so soon and I’m pretty pumped! I finally got the whole festival off! I’m camping there with a friend of mine onsight for the first time, so hopefully thats enjoyable, people seem to think it is.
- Probably going to 2nd damn today with a friend from work since it’s so hot out. People need to learn not to get pasta on a hot day…they’re just going to regret it one way or another.
So yeah, life has had it’s ups and downs lately, but it’s all about the learning experience right? All in all, life is pretty good right now and hopefully it will just keep on getting better!
-Peace out all
WTF is up with…
TAXES?
While I was on break today at work, sitting outside in the sun, drinking some iced coffee, enjoying my nice slice of American freedom (minus the apple pie), I took a gander at my paycheck. I noticed at the bottom that I’ve only been working about a month and a half, and already the government has already dipped their money-stealing hands into my life and taken out $170 so far! WTF Barack, you might have given me $600 as a tax return once, which I of course used to pour back into the needy economy as you planned (that stormtrooper costume from Taiwan looks great btw), but why do you have to take all of my hard earned money from me? Sure, its just money you might say, but what if you were there where I was, sitting down enjoying a nice iced coffee, when Obama comes up and drinks 8% of that? You’d be like,
“Oh hello Mr. President how are y- HEY! Wtf are you doing with my coffee man??”
Just a thought.
And this time, we’re gonna get funky (funky funky)
That song is both really cool and really annoying.
Take it back now y’all.
Two hops this time…
Save some souls, kill your own: Be a vegan!
I guess its about time I update this no? A lot has happened since I last posted, so I’ll just start listing stuff off.
Maggy and I have decided to go vegan for 30 days. I thought it was going to be easier than it is, but in all its really not that bad. I miss cheese a lot and pasta just isn’t the same without chicken but when weighed with the health benefits you feel better. I’ve been buying Morningstar brand foods that are vegan, which are excellent and truly save me. They are frozen foods that look and taste just like meats but are made out of veggies, truly amazing. I just couldn’t live off salads. The hardest part other than $$ when doing this vegan thing is the lack of vegan selections in college dining halls. I was in mine tonight for dinner and the only things I could have eaten were salad, apples, assorted canned fruits, cereal, and 2 slices of toast (no spreads). Pretty lame huh? Luckily Maggy has more selections at hers. She is going to continue on doing this even after the 30 days, unlike me. I do feel like it changed me in some way though, hopefully I will continue to eat morningstar stuff and try to stay away from meat and dairy as much as I can. I just cant give up pizza and chicken, I’m sorry. It’s really nice to be going through this though with someone else who pushes you and challenges you, I guess I’m a pretty lucky guy :)
So I guess thats all I feel like doing right now, I know, I know, I teased you, but stay tuned for more of my exciting life!
I have spread my dreams under your feet,
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Where there is Tony, there is inspiration. This was at Tara, a sacred place for the ancient people of Ireland, the Celts. From here you can see more than half of the counties of the entire country from this spot. That’s a view.
Just go wherever the water takes you boy, you’ll be ok.
I’m just gonna build a castle on the cliffs because I’m the fucking man.
